Board Authorizes Modified Bond Referendum
The Hicksville Board of Education has authorized a revised bond referendum for June 19. At this time, residents of the district will be asked to vote on two separate propositions regarding capital projects.

Senator Hannon Honors 9/11 Hometown Hero
To officially kickoff National Volunteer Week (April 22-28), Senator Kemp Hannon bestowed the New York State Senate Liberty Award, one of the state's highest commendations, on more than 15 honorees who aided in the rescue or recovery efforts after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, including Hicksville resident Sandeep Pahuja who aimed to deter terrorism and biased attacks by fostering attitudes of tolerance and understanding.

Lady Riders Appearance May 11
The Lady Riders will appear at the Massapequa Soccer and Sport Shop on Saturday, May 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. Fans may obtain autographs, take pictures and also take advantage of $5 "Good for Any Game" Lady Riders tickets. The store is located at 1004 Park Boulevard, just north of Sunrise Highway, in Massapequa Park.
