    The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will hold a public meeting to present a proposal for soil remediation at the former Sylvania Electric Products Incorporated Facility on Cantiague Road in Hicksville.     At a recent meeting of the Hicksville Gardens Civic Association, residents had the opportunity to voice their concerns to Town of Oyster Bay Councilman Joe Muscaralla regarding the area surrounding Tudor Park.     The Long Island Lady Riders spring camp still has openings at its three Long Island locations; Eisenhower Park, Commack and West Islip. Staffed exclusively by Lady Riders players, the Long Island Lady Riders camp remains dedicated to the female soccer player. The spring camp will run from April 1 through April 5.   • Sports: Hicksville Flash News

    The Hicksville Flash played New Hyde Park in a very physical game on Sunday, March 25 at Triangle Park. The Flash kept their cool and came away with a 2-0 victory. The Flash were led by the goaltending of Joey Dzienius, who recorded the shutout with some big saves. Danny Alves scored the first goal for the Flash on a penalty kick and Teddy Bruckner scored the second goal. Danny Musinski, Joey Pepi, Devin Laviano, George Rios, Matt Oliva, Anthony Geslak, Chris Mutch, Brian Scott served as the offensive force while Kenny Garger, Brian Masterson, Timothy Sciascia, David Mirro, Alex Torrellas kept New Hyde Park in check. Kevin Myers and Kyle Bloecker did not play. FULL STORY
