Taxpayers Reject Proposed $42 Million Bond Issue
On Wednesday, March 20, residents of Hicksville voted 1,207 to 1,007 against the school district's proposed $41.8 million bond referendum.
Court Launches Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program
The Nassau County Court System has begun a pilot program intended to offer treatment as an alternative to incarceration for non-violent, repeat misdemeanor offenders whose criminal behavior was driven by substance or alcohol abuse or addiction. The program, which is known as the Nassau County Treatment Court, will be presided over by Honorable John G. Marks, a resident of Hicksville.

Grand Prix Race Set for April 6
The Hicksville-based KeySpan organization is once again working with Long Island Track & Field to give Long Island runners and racewalkers a quality series that will run from now through early December. The next Grand Prix race is the 10 Kilometer Run for Aspire in Plainview on Saturday, April 6.
