The Hot Shots, Hicksville's U9 girls tournament soccer team, finished their indoor season at East Islip's 11th Annual Tournament. After competition from Scarsdale, West Islip, Oyster Bay and Massapequa teams, the Hot Shots placed second with a 1-0 loss to first place Massapequa.

Goaltenders Korey Abbriano and Brittney Hoehing allowed only two goals in the five-game tournament. They were supported by the terrific defense of Angie Madero, Kimberely Chirco, Shana Phelan, Katelyn Culhane and Adrianna Licitra. Amanda Epstein and Kelly Secko provided the fire power needed on offense and Kelly received the tournament's Best Offensive Player trophy. The 12-member team is led by coaches Dennis Secko and Al Abrriano.
