Cantiague Men's Golf Results
On Aug. 16 the Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League held its 11th bimonthly tournament. “It started out to be a great day as far as the weather was concerned. It was nice and cool, but it was not long before it got hot. In spite of the heat, there were some pretty good scores. In the last tournament we had only one score under 40. Today, we had nine men score 39 or less. Low man was Dan McCann who shot a gross 32 and a net score of 25,” reported Organizer Lou Neumann. Dan also won the match play tournament by beating Don Gangemella 4-to-2. Dan got a birdie on the par 4, 272-yard sixth hole. He also had five pars to go along with his birdie. The only other birdie today was made by Don Gaynor on the par 4, 257-yard fifth hole.
