HBA Announces Summer Schedule
Hicksville Baseball Association (HBA) is proud to present its travel program schedule for the summer 2001 season. There are two teams representing HBA, 13 year olds and 15-16 year olds. The Hicksville Giants' 13-year-old team has a 24-game schedule in which 10 are being played at Levitt Field in the HBA complex. The Giants 15-16-year-old team has a 24-game schedule throughout Nassau County. Please show your support and follow Hicksville Giants baseball.

Mid-Island Gymnastics Girls Place 3rd in New York State
The Level 6 girl's gymnastic team from Mid-Island Gymnastics took 3rd place on May 12 at the New York State championship meet held in Rochester, NY. The girls from the Mid-Island team were all first-year Level 6 gymnasts, with the majority of the team in the 7-9 year-old category. The Mid-Island girls were just edged out of second by the older, more experienced Infinity/Gold Medal team by 1.775 points. The Mid-Island girls showed great spunk and determination throughout the entire meet. That attitude allowed them to achieve 14 top ten scores in the various events (Beam, Floor, Uneven Bars, and Vault). The MIG 7 to 9-year-olds racked up nine top 10 scores out of a possible 28. The MIG 10-11 year-olds took five top 10 scores out of a possible 12.
