Oyster Bay Town Board Approves Westy Storage Proposal
Facility Will Replace Gilison Sweater Factory --
The Oyster Bay Town Board has granted Hicksville Project LLC, contract vendee, and Gilison Realty permission for a special use permit to demolish an existing 43,000-square foot building and construct a four-story Westy storage facility on West John Street in Hicksville, according to town spokesperson Phyllis Barry. "Based on what was presented to the board, it was granted," Barry said last week. The facility will house 1,300 storage units of various sizes and offer 25 parking spots.

The Men's Senior Golf League of Cantiague Park held its kick-off meeting March 1 at the park. This season, the men decided to have a best ball tournament and a medal tournament although all the details have not been worked out yet.
