The Oyster Bay Town Board held a hearing Tuesday evening to hear more about a proposed plan to construct and operate a five-story, 102,160-square foot, 150-unit assisted living facility with common areas and amenities at the corner of Broadway and East Carl Street in Hicksville.

According to Donna Sadowski, resident of Hope Lane in Hicksville, the fire that erupted at her house last month was not caused by an unattended candle although the Hicksville Fire Department's preliminary investigation determined the cause to be just that.

Right from the opening tip of the game you could tell it was going to be Holy Family's day. Holy Family came out flying and its early, full court press frustrated St. Brigid's players and carried Holy Family to a 60-48 win. The win marks Holy Family's fifth in a row, increasing its record to 9-2. This game was another example of Holy Family's great team play on both offense and defense.
