Hicksville Civics Discuss Proposed Assisted Living Facility
After holding a meeting Thursday, Feb. 8, some members of several civic associations in Hicksville generally favor the idea of building an assisted living facility at the corner of Broadway and Carl Street. However, looming concern remains over the height of the building, how much more unwanted traffic the facility would generate and how much access firefighters would have to the facility's upper stories in case of emergency.

Arthritis Foundation Softball Tournament Needs Teams
The Arthritis Foundation is holding its fourth annual softball tournament at Cantiague Park in Hicksville June 9th. The entrance fee is $500 and all proceeds go directly to the local Arthritis Foundation.
