Police End 10-Day Robbery Spree
Last Wednesday, police arrested three Hicksville High School students and one Levittown resident, putting an end to their 10-day robbery spree in which they threatened local employees with pellet guns. According to police reports, no shots were fired and no one was injured.

Bill Alonge Coaches 500th Ice Hockey Game
The Hicksville Ice Hockey Club is Long Island's oldest high school hockey club and some say it's lasted this long because of Head Coach Bill Alonge's undying devotion to the team. Beginning on an outdoor rink somewhere near Roosevelt Field in the winter of 1961 or 1962, Alonge stepped in as coach 10 years later.
