Inclusion Program Successful So Far in Hicksville
Hicksville school administrators welcomed positive staff feedback during the last SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Association) meeting Monday night regarding the district's inclusion program. The program, which is somewhat new to the district, is proving successful according to teachers who feel it should be extended throughout the entire district.

Accident Leaves Young Girl Seriously Injured
A car accident between a tan BMW and a red Geo Prizm occurred at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, Nov. 15, at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and 8th Street in Hicksville. According to a witness, the BMW hit a tree and then hit the Prizm. A female passenger in the front seat suffered serious head injuries and was transported to Nassau County Medical Center in an ambulance with a police escort. Police closed Jerusalem Avenue on the northbound side to perform an investigation.

Hicksville Hockey Recaps
The Stars' win streak ends at 4 with 1-1 tie against Wantagh-Seaford. Several things were learned in this game. The first is that half of Hicksville's 41 goals thus far were scored by players not in the lineup for this game. The second is that if you don't follow a game plan, it's like a dog sled team pulling in different directions. Wantagh-Seaford was still clearly outmatched in size and offense but their speed and persistence paid off in the end. The Baymen were outshot 38-7.
