Continued Concern Regarding Lee Ave. School
During the Oct. 17 parent meeting regarding health concerns at Lee Avenue School in Hicksville, Jack Springston, certified industrial hygienist, questioned testing methods performed on the building by the H2M Group. Holzmacher, McLendon & Murrell's (H2M) is an environmental group based in Melville. Concerned parents invited Springston to the meeting.

Hicksville Receives Statewide Testing Results
The state Education Department released results of statewide testing in reading and math last month. Rosemary Planz, director of Curriculum and Instruction, provided the Hicksville school district's results for fourth grade math and eighth grade math and English during the most recent Board of Education meeting. Planz compared this year's results with June of last year.

Baseball Association Holds All-Star Dinner
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto, Councilmembers Leonard B. Symons and Bonnie Eisler, Town Clerk Martha S. Offerman and Receiver of Taxes James J. Stefanich recently congratulated coaches, parents, administrators and players of the Hicksville Baseball Association on an exciting season during the association's annual All-Star Dinner. County Comptroller Fred Parola was also on hand.
