After its 15-year investigation of the Hooker Chemical/Ruco Polymer Superfund site in Hicksville, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will clean up contaminated groundwater and soil beneath the facility. The Hicksville Stars Boys U9 Team recently played in the North Hempstead Cup Columbus Day weekend. On the first day of tournament play, the Stars played the Rosedale United team, beating them 3-0. The Stars defeated the North Shore Storm 3-1 in the second game and beat the Manhasset Strikers by a goal. On day two, the Stars defeated the Westside Soccer Club of Manhattan 3-0. FULL STORY
