I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring support since a tragic fire took the life of my daughter Toniann and left my family without a place to live. The Long Island community has forever touched my life and the lives of my family and friends restoring my faith in human kindness.

Over the past two weeks, my family has received hundreds of letters of support offering words of kindness and sympathy along with clothing and monetary support. As I seek an apartment for our family to continue our lives here in Hicksville, I write this humble thank you note to express my sincere thank you and appreciation to all of you who sent prayers, letters, clothing, furniture and monetary assistance.

I am forever grateful to my family, friends, businesses, local organizations, volunteers and the entire Long Island Community for coming to my family at this time of need.
