Representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency who have been investigating soil and groundwater contamination beneath the Hooker Chemical/Ruco Polymer site in Hicksville for the past 15 years are recommending the use of an "innovative" method to treat an underground plume of a known carcinogen leading from the site.
