After two years of construction, the newly designed and enlarged Hicksville Fire Department headquarters, Station #1, on East Marie Street, was officially rededicated at a ceremony late last month.

Consultation Center Gets a Helping Hand
The Ecumenical Consultation Center welcomed a group of men from Dupont Pharmaceuticals in Garden City on April 17, who volunteered their services to paint the interior of the counseling center as part of the LIVE-Long Island Volunteer Enterprise. LIVE is a coalition of Long Island companies in cooperation with the LI Volunteer Center and LI's United Way, who have joined in a service effort to help improve the community of Long Island.

Asteroids Capture Second Place
The Hicksville Asteroids Girls U12 travel soccer team won second place in the annual Commack Soccer League Memorial Day Tournament. The girls played five games in three days, winning four and losing once.
