In the millennium's first Hicksville American Legion Awards and Ceremonies night, the Charles Wagner Post 421 conducted its usual stirring honors program. In addition to recognizing post members' long continuous memberships, the Legionaries remembered seven comrades who died during 1999, and lauded the Legionnaire of the Year. On March 26, the Stars hosted their first Indoor Off the Wall Tournament at Sportime in Bethpage. The Stars took fifth place with one goal by Ryan Alfred and one goal by Michael Callahan. FULL STORY

The Hicksville Asteroids girls U12 travel soccer team won their spring season home opening game at Tudor Park this past Saturday. The Asteroids defeated the Rockville Centre Lightning Bolts 2-1. FULL STORY
