I am writing this letter in response to Dave Staton's unwarranted attack on the character of former Councilman Tom Clark.

I do not support Mr. Clark's position on the Twin County issue. I also disagree with Mr. Staton's distorted sense of right and wrong in the political arena.

If Mr. Clark's greatest sin during his political career was to act in support of his church and God, I am sure there is a place reserved for him in heaven. Mr. Staton's uncharitable commentary about Tom Clark's moral character could cause Dave to go in the opposite direction.

What is next on your agenda Mr. Staton, motherhood and apple pie?
