Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help in finding the operator of a vehicle who left the scene of a serious pedestrian accident on Woodbury Road in late December.

On Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 4:55 p.m. Kaushal Kumar was crossing Woodbury Road, west of Miller Road, when he was struck by a dark colored auto, traveling westbound on Woodbury Road. The driver of the auto did not stop to offer help to the 35-year old man, who was seriously injured.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case. All calls are anonymous and callers do not have to reveal their identity or testify in court. The Crime Stoppers unit can be reached at 1-800-244-TIPS.
