Holy Family's (8th grade) swarming defense and unselfish play enabled them to jump to an early lead and cruise past St. Peter 52-39. Holy Family's unselfishness was evidenced by the fact that all 11 players scored.

Steve Curcio (4 pts., 5 assists), Rob DeGennaro (2 pts., 5 assists), Mike Pesale (3 pts., 4 assists), Mike Weiss (5 pts., 4 assists) and Carlos Gomez (3 pts., 3 assists) put on a passing clinic while the backboards were controlled by Lou Sullo (8 pts., 10 rebounds), Brian Garriques (5 pts., 8 rebounds), Tom Oswald (2 pts., 6 rebounds) and Mike Hebron (2 pts., 5 rebounds).

Holy Family's balanced scoring attack was led by Justin Rogich and John Kishanuk who scored nine points each.
