The Hicksville American Soccer Club Girls U-8 Tournament Team got a lot of experience playing in three tournaments this past October.
The Red Devils started in Syosset on Columbus Day weekend. On Saturday, they lost one and tied one. On Sunday, after playing in the rain and mud they went on to tie and win their two games. They placed second in the tournament.
On Oct. 16 they played in the Patchogue/Medford tournament and won two games and tied one. No standings were kept but everyone received a trophy.
Then on Oct. 23 they went to Yaphank. In the four games they went 1-2-1 and again received second place trophies.
Thanks to Coach Peter, with all his patience and devotion, the girls are really having a lot of fun and learning so much. The girls also get a lot of support from Assistant Coach Jim and Head Cheerleader Marion, who gives the girls luck with her cartwheels.
