Hicksville's boys under-11 team played their best game so far this season against an excellent Plainedge team. The Rockets really rallied and showed how hard work and practice can really pay off.

The defense was led by one of the league's best goalies, Sean Powderly. Sean made some of the most incredible saves his coaches have ever seen. He drew cheers from both sides. The sweeper position was filled by Maurice Cubias and Brian McMahon, both of whom made several great saves. Joseph Chorzepa, the stopper, was a force to be reckoned with on the field. Stephen Gallagher, Alex Straftis, George Anagnostakos, Peter Katsaros and James Alexandris rounded out the defense. These boys were so dominating on the field that they totally shut down Plainedge's offense.

Robert Caine played halfback and had his usual fine game, backing up the forwards and advancing the ball.

Stephen Borrelli, Joseph Altamura and Anthony Gelak were the forwards for most of the game and played one of their finest games yet, taking advantage of opportunities, bringing the ball upfield, passing and shooting on goal. Stephen finished one of his charges past Plainedge's defense with a tremendous goal.

It was another great effort by Hicksville's Rockets.
