Royce A. Schaub, of Keene, NH, died suddenly Sept. 23, 1999. He was a longtime resident of Hicksville and retired Grumman employee. He also served in the US Navy during WWII, worked at Camp Blue Bay for the Nassau Council of Girl Scouts and was a boat captain in South Carolina. Husband of the late Florence. Father of Pam (Bill) Durkin and Lauren (Fred) Pignataro. Grandfather of Jamie and Jody Durkin and Julie Pignataro. Brother of Lawrence (Meg) and the late Ronald. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 270 S. Broadway, Hicksville on Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. for family and friends. Donations may be made to the church memorial fund in lieu of flowers.

Alice M. Rogienski, of Hicksville, died on Oct. 6, 1999. Wife of Frank. Mother of Christopher and Wendy and Elizabeth and Frank. Daughter of Olga Walker. Grandmother of Christopher, Leah, Mallory, Frankie and Kaitlin. Arrangements were made by the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Hicksville. Religious services. Interment St. Margaret's Cemetery.

Patricia A. Santaniello, of Hicksville, died on Oct. 8, 1999. Wife of Vincent. Daughter of Irma Spacey. Sister of Ronald, Joseph and Eugene. Sister-in-law of Lisa and Marysue Spacey, Lucretia, Ralph Jr. and Peggy Santaniello. Daughter-in-law of Ralph Santiello Sr. Aunt of Marissa, Ronald Jr. and Joseph. Arrangements were made by the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Hicksville. Mass at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.

Virginia Rankel, of Hicksville, died on Oct. 12, 1999. She was the owner of Ginger's Beauty Salon for over 30 years. Wife of Joseph. Mother of Patricia and Angelo Losciale and James (Kathy). Grandmother of Nicholas Losciale, Brian Rankel, Tricia Magner, Gene Lynn Losciale and Samantha Goldsmith. Great-grandmother of five. Sister of Leonard Abruzzo. Arrangements were made by the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Hicksville. Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
