John D. (Jack) Woodworth, of Hicksville, died on Sept. 1, 1999. 4th Degree Knight, Joseph Barry Council. Husband of Helen. Father of John (Jack) and Patricia Raabe. Grandfather of John, Richard, Scott, Sean and Victoria. Brother of Patricia Soha. Arrangements were made by the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Hicksville. Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.

Bridget Sweeney (nee Lynch) of Hicksville, died recently. Born in Killaloe, County Clare, Ireland, she was very active in St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, County Clare Association and retired from MHT/Chemical Bank. Beloved wife of Edward. Devoted mother of AnnMarie Lewis, Christine, Margaret D'Antuono and Michelle. Cherished grandmother of Colleen and Timothy Lewis and Ashley Nicole D'Antuono. Adored sister of Maureen Addley, the late Nancy Fallon, Joseph Costelloe, Peggy Schirmer, Tena McCormack, Helen Grubb, Patrick Costelloe and the late Theresa McAllen. Arrangements were made by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church.

Joseph E. Bowra, 81, of Hicksville, died on Sept. 6, 1999. He was a member of the LI Old Car Club and the Horseless Carriage Club. He was a former tool room supervisor at Fairchild Controls. Husband of the late Elizabeth. Father of Richard Bowra and James Bowra. Grandfather of four.
