Tryouts for the Hicksville Freshman and Varsity Hockey teams will take place on Aug. 22 and Aug. 29. The two-session tryout costs $35 and will be held at the ice rink at Cantiague Park in Hicksville. The freshman (grades 7 - 9) tryouts are from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on both dates, and the varsity (grades 9 - 12) tryouts are from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both dates. You must be able to make both dates to make the team. If you are cut after the first session you will be refunded $15. For more information or if you cannot make both tryout dates call 249-2541.
