It did my middle class heart good to know that the Hicksville Board of Education saw fit to raise Supt. Finn's salary to $140,000. Apparently, this will enable Dr. Finn and the school board "to continue to bring to fruition the many improvements, plans and projects that have been slowed in recent years."

Considering that Dr. Finn has been with the district for two years, it leads me to wonder whether he, or any member of the school board (aka...no more taped minutes) ever noticed the deplorable condition of the American flag that is in position at the front of the senior high school. Obviously, they have all been kept too busy using my middle-class taxes for "more important" improvements, plans, projects and salary increases.
