Scott Hausthor and Trevor Ochieng, first and second place winners in the 12 and under category, respectively, were two of the many competitors in the USTA sanctioned tournament.

The Hicksville Community Tennis Association hosted a Level III USTA sanctioned tournament on July 31 and August 1 at the Hicksville High School.

The tournament, which was sponsored by the Domino's Pizza on Levittown Parkway, was for boys and girls age 16 and under.

All the participants had a great time and trophies were awarded to the winners.

The Hicksville Community Tennis Association has been developing over the past few years under the direction of Terry Fontana. The program offers instruction and competition for all levels and abilities. Young children through senior citizens are offered the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy tennis with the aid of tennis pros. Play and instruction take place at the Hicksville High School.

Domino's Pizza had donated enough pizza for all the players and fans to enjoy a fabulous lunch. Many thanks to Domino's Pizza for their generosity and support. The competitors offered their many thanks to Terry and the Hicksville Community Tennis Association for all their hard work and dedication in organizing the tournament.
