Ida Ann Herfel, of Hicksville, died on July 21, 1999. Wife of the late Paul J. Sr. Mother of Paul J. Jr. and Lola Myron. Sister of Mary, Ben, Fannie, Helen, Patsy, Vito and the late Rocco. Grandmother of Dawn, Lynn, Christopher, Scott and Meredith. Great-grandmother of Alexander. Arrangements were made by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hospice Care Network.

Peter Jacobson, of Hicksville, died on July 23, 1999. Son of Howard and the late Harriet. Brother of Craig and Lisa. Uncle of Kyle and Ryan. Arrangements were made by the Gutterman's Funeral Home, Woodbury.

Joseph P. Scully, 79, of Micco, FL formerly of Hicksville, died on Aug. 9, 1999 at the Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian, FL. Born in NYC, he was an Army veteran of WWII , a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a past member of Knights of Columbus #1012. He was a construction worker in the NYC area working with wood, wire and metallic lather and an employee of the NY Racing Association. He is suvived by his wife of 59 years, Jeann Scully; his sons, Thomas Scully of Hicksville, Gerard Scully of Port Jefferson and Joseph Scully of Hicksville; his sister Mary St. Amour of Bradenton, FL; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Fountainhead Funeral Home, Palm Bay, FL. Servivces at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Interment St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Sebastian. Contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
