The Hicksville Council of PTA's has chosen Pat Love as the recipient of its 1999 Founder's Day Award. The honor is given annually to a person who has demonstrated a special devotion and strong commitment to the students of the Hicksville School district. FULL STORY

They came from Ohio, Virginia, Florida, and other far away places! The 50th reunion of the class of 1948 of Hicksville High School was held recently at the home of Joan Lebkuecher-D'Auria. Some 50 graduates and guests danced until the wee hours of the morning to the music of the 1940s, after enjoying a delightful buffet dinner. The evening commenced with a cocktail hour during which graduates reminisced about the "good old days" at Hicksville High School. FULL STORY

Jim Tamburino, a senior at Hicksville High School, will play on the Nassau County team for the 3rd Annual Vytra Cup All-Star High School Ice Hockey Tournament on Feb. 7. The game, co-sponsored by Vytra and the New York Islanders, will be played at Nassau Coliseum at 6 p.m., following by the New York Islanders game against the Vancouver Canucks. FULL STORY
