The Hicksville fifth and sixth graders from PAL lacrosse participated in a summer league held at SUNY Farmingdale during July and August. The team was made up of various youngsters from the very successful lacrosse spring program.

Chris Roach and John Ajello plotting strategy in the championship game.

Although there was no practice and the boys came from several different teams, they pushed themselves each week and came within two goals of winning the league championship, losing to an excellent Islip team after a furious second half charge. This was Hicksville's second game of the day, having won an overtime thriller against Massapequa to advance to the title game.

The parents and boys wish to extend their thanks to the coaches, Chris Roach, Mike Cerlini, and the ever present John Ajello, for taking time from their Sundays to help mold this team and provide us with some very exciting lacrosse.
