The Hicksville Mets started their season with a sparkling display of defense, pitching and clutch hitting. The two wins, 12-10 and 5-0, were over the Long Island Baymen. Andrew Visconti put on a clinic in the first game, recording eight put outs and four assists. Andrew also went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a rocket triple and three RBIs. Peter Dragone pitched five tough innings to get the win. Matt Scally got out of a bases loaded sixth inning jam and finished the game to record the save. Matt also went 3-for-3.

In the second game Mike Zuccaro pitched a two hit complete game shutout. Mike was in command all the way and needed only 82 pitches. Peter Dragone, 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and Andrew Scorpanic was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
