    The efforts to deliver hot meals to senior citizens and homebound AIDS patients by Catholic Charities, headquartered in Hicksville, were bolstered recently by the addition of a new minivan to supplement their Meals-on-Wheels services.

  • NEWS: Mall Welcomes Police Presence on Premises

    The Broadway Mall and the Nassau County Police Department celebrated the grand opening of the 2nd Precinct substation on Monday afternoon. Distinguished by a blue and orange awning, these new police quarters are located at the rear of the complex approximately 500 yards south of the theater and food court entrance.

    The fall baseball season for a group of Hicksville 10-year-olds seemed to get started all wrong. By the time they heard about the fall league, they had 72 hours to put together a team, get uniforms, a home field and, possibly, a sponsor.

    A special invitation has been issued to runners and walkers from Hicksville to join in a morning of festive family fun and fitness at the 10th annual Ho Ho Ho Holiday 5 Kilometer Run, to be held on the roads of Bethpage on Saturday morning, Dec. 20.
