Girls Softball Pitching Clinic

There will be a girls softball pitching clinic on Thursdays at the Old Country Road School. The clinic will begin on Nov. 6 and continue through March. The clinic is open to all girls who were registered with the Hicksville Baseball Association during the 1997 season.

The clinic will be conducted by Ms. Kerri Gant-Azzara who is a former NCAA player and is the current varsity softball coach at Baldwin High School. Ms. Gant will instruct the girls on conditioning and the fundamentals of pitching. Each girl will be able to progress at her own pace. There will be a nominal weekly fee for each girl's participation.

Times for the clinic are as follows:

Intermediate: 7- and 8-years-old 6-7 p.m.

Minors: 9- and 10-year-olds 6-7 p.m.

Majors: 11- and 12-year-olds 7-8 p.m.

Seniors: 13 to 15-year-olds 7-8 p.m.

Girls should attend the session that reflects the division they will play in during the 1998 season. To register for the clinic or for any additional information please call 935-5019.
