Joe Lamb Council Meets the Candidates

Thursday evening, Oct. 16, was "Meet the Candidates Night" at the social meeting of the Joseph Lamb Council No. 5723 Knights of Columbus, Plainview/Hicksville, held in the cafeteria of Our Lady of Mercy School in Hicksville.

The evening was devoted to listen to the three candidates running for the position of Town of Oyster Bay supervisor. On hand were Republican John Venditto, Democrat Dal Lamagna and the Right to Life Party representative Dr. Tom Droleskey.

In attendance was a crowd of over 65 people comprised of brother Knights, Columbiettes and many members of the public.

Each of the three candidates was allowed 15 minutes to state his qualifications, views, and aspirations for the candidacy. Each did an outstanding job which was well appreciated by the attentive crowd on hand. An enlightening question and answer session followed.

Nassau County Legislator Ed Mangano, who currently represents the 17th Legislative District including Hicksville, and candidates for Town council Mary McCaffrey and Jim Stefanich were also on hand.
