Share Your Holiday Spirit With People Who Live Without Sight and Sound

Designed by Helen Keller National Center (HKNC) students who are vision and hearing impaired or deaf-blind, unique and colorful holiday cards are now available for sale in Port Washington at The Dolphin Book Shop, 941 Port Washington Boulevard; The Peppermint Stick, 41A Main Street; Minuteman Press, 1011 Port Washington Boulevard; Sandsport Real Estate, 162 Shore Road and at HKNC headquarters, 111 Middle Neck Road, Sands Point.

Each packet of 12 cards and envelopes sells for $6 and the proceeds help to support the Creative Arts Program, an integral part of the comprehensive rehabilitation training program at HKNC. In fact, the cards and envelopes are counted and packaged by HKNC students in their Work Experience Program during the training day. One can purchase a packet containing one design, or a mixed bag of five different designs, drawn by Dana Cameron, Anthony Straker, Jackie Duffy, Heather Rathje and Gregory Samuels. There are four different greetings among the designs.

Cards may be personalized in Braille for a nominal fee. For further information, or to place an order, please call 944-8900, ext. 325 or write to Barbara Hausman, Helen Keller National Center, 111 Middle Neck Road, Sands Point, NY 11050.
