VFW Calendar of Events for the Month of November 1997

Nov. 3

Board of Directors meeting at 8 p.m. All Post members welcome to attend.

Nov. 4

Election Day; don't forget to vote.

Nov. 9

Sunday Nassau County United Veterans Organization hold Veterans Day Service at Eisenhower Park. Service will start at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

Nov. 9

There will be Veterans Day Service at L.I. National Cemetery in Farmingdale at 2 p.m.

Nov. 10

Post and Ladies Auxiliary meeting at 8 p.m.

Nov. 11

Hicksville United Veterans Organization will hold Veterans Day Service at Hicksville Middle School, Jerusalem Avenue and 4th Street - will start at 10 a.m. All comrades and sisters are welcome.

Nov. 11

Post member and Ladies Auxiliary monthly visit to Northport Veterans Hospital. Leaves the Post at 7:15 p.m.

Nov. 14

Night at the Races from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Spaghetti and meatballs and hot dogs will be served. Also, beer, wine, soda, coffee and cake will be included. Donation of $5 per person.

Nov. 18

Nassau County meeting at Lynbrook Post 2307; Memorial Service for our deceased comrades; visit by NCC Aux.

Nov. 24

Post meeting at 8 p.m.

Nov. 27

Membership Qualification to Join VFW

Honorable discharge, honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States entitling the applicant to a recognized campaign medal or set forth in the VFW By-law.

Our meetings are every second and fourth Monday of each month. Women who served honorably in the Armed Forces are eligible to join the VFW. For information call the VFW hall at 931-7843.
