The Eyes of Learning, a non-profit metaphysical group that celebrated its 15th year last month, is facilitating the first annual Long Island UFO Conference on Sunday, November 2 at Levittown Hall in Hicksville from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Budd Hopkins, the author of several books - including Missing Time and Intruders - about the UFO abduction phenomenon, is scheduled to speak at this intriguing event. Budd is also an internationally respected authority in the field of UFO research who garnered worldwide attention on a series of thoroughly documented alien encounters. His latest book, Witnessed, is something unprecedented in the history of UFO research.
Harold Egeln, Jr. of S.P.A.C.E. (Support Program for Abductee's Encounters) will attend the conference to share his personal experiences. Founded in Manhattan in March 1992, S.P.A.C.E. is a support and research group that provides abductees and others who have witnessed UFO activity a comfortable forum to share openly and explore experiences on the unknown frontier of close encounters.
Rev. Michael Carter will discuss allusions to UFOs in the Bible. Michael is an ordained minister who has been fascinated with religion and philosophy for most of his life.
There will also be a UFO abductee panel featuring James LaFante, Curtis Walton, Michelle Guerin and Maria, all of whom have been regressed by prominent psychotherapists. Paul Williams from UFO desk radio station 99.5 FM will moderate this group.
Levittown Hall is located on Levittown Parkway in Hicksville. The price of the conference is $60.
