EAC to Host Harvest Luncheon

The Education and Assistance Corporation is hosting its second annual Harvest Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 5 at Carltun On The Park, Eisenhower Park. This year guests will be treated to a fashion show sponsored by Americana at Manhasset.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. with cocktails and a chance to browse through several boutiques. There will also be a wine tasting sponsored by one of the Long Island wineries. Americana at Manhasset will be providing gift bags for all the guests. The sit-down luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m. at which time the fashion show will be held, followed by a special raffle.

Chairperson Lynn E. Knickman (Garden City) is gearing up for a very successful event and indicated her enthusiasm for this year's luncheon. "eac" is a dynamic organization and I am thrilled to be a part of the Harvest Luncheon again this year."

EAC is a private not-for-profit agency, established in 1969, which provides vital assistance to more than 33,000 children, adults and seniors. EAC offers over 30 programs whose main areas of concern are education, family assistance and adult and family court services. Programs include Meals on Wheels, Long Island Meditation, JOBS, Senior Citizen Respite, the Home Enegy Assistance Program, Vocational Services, Outpatient Clinic, Nassau Bail Bond, TASC and Suffolk ERASE.
