With summer starting to wind down, Great Neck’s Wolverines ice hockey players are returning from camps, getting reacquainted and sharpening their skates in preparation for the 2010-2011 high school hockey season. While the kids broke for summer a lot was going on behind the scenes to make sure the season would get off without a hitch.
Over the next two weeks the kids will be skating again, getting back into hockey shape. By the end of the month they will be gathering as a team, training for their long season. To give you an opportunity to mark your calendar and plan to see the Wolverines at our own Parkwood ice rink in Great Neck, here are some anticipated home dates: Oct. 18, Nov. 8, 15, Dec. 20, Jan. 24 and 31. All home games will be at 8:15 p.m. (after all school work is done). There will be many more added, and this list is tentative and subject to change. Keep watching for announcements as well as the official schedule. The Wolverines look forward to seeing all of Great Neck at the rink.
