On Oct. 9, KIDS IN DEED participated in the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network benefit walk. The walk, held in Eisenhower Park, drew over 1,000 people who walked to to raise money and awareness for this life-threatening affliction that affects millions of people every year. KIDS IN DEED is proud to have raised over $600 for this worthy cause.
KIDS IN DEED is an educational and social action program sponsored by The Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island, located in Garden City. KIDS IN DEED is a Sunday-morning class that aims to teach critical thinking, ethics, and humanist values within the context of community service. It is open to children ages 5 to 13.
