Great Neck Public Schools 25-year employees were recognized in June by the Board of Education and professional associations representing teachers, administrators, and civil service staff.
Teachers who were recognized included: Kathleen Andrews (English, North Middle School); Deidre Elzer-Lento (technology department head, South Middle School); Maureen Ganes (kindergarten, Kennedy School); Laura Goldstein (technology, Kennedy); Debra Manoff (reading, North Middle); Adam McKenzie (physical education, Lakeville School); Linda Novick (nurse, Baker School); Donna Peirez (grade 1, Lakeville); Meryl Rosenblum (grade 2, Saddle Rock School);
Neil Saggerson (fine & performing arts department head, North High School); Debra Silverman (grade 5, Baker); and Gayle Ulmann (grade 5, Kennedy).
Members of office staff who were recognized: Josephine Adamo (main office, Lakeville); Roseann Imperato (main office, South High School); Nancy Marmo (attendance, South High); and Dorothy Mogenis (main office, North High).
Teacher aides recognized from Parkville School were: Ana Delgado-Oviedo, Edith Gontarek, Andreana Guglielmi, Mary Jane Lazzinnaro, and Magdalena Zurita. Lynne Eichenbaum was recognized from Lakeville.
Others recognized for 25 years of service to the district included: Michael Binda (head custodian/security, South Middle), Steve Challis (supervisor, district facilities & operations); Angeliki Papadatos (food services, South High); and Thomas Williams (district audio-visual technician; also a retiree).
