Obituary: Dr. Warren Hecht

Dr. Warren Henry Hecht died suddenly at home on Aug. 9, 2011. Warren is survived by Gilda, his wife of 52 years and the light of his life; his children, Dr. Helen Hecht (Cathy Brown), Erica Ebbets (Steve), Steven Hecht (Gary Seis) and Maura Hecht (Joanne Burdish); and his grandchildren, Heather Ebbets, Lily Brown and Ryan Brown. Warren was a captain in the Air Force, received his degree in dentistry from NYU and practiced for more than 60 years in New York City and Great Neck. He served as a volunteer fireman in the Vigilant Hook and Ladder Company of Great Neck for more than 40 years and was a life member. He participated in search and rescue during 9/11. Warren lived a unique life and marched to his own drumbeat. He loved life and lived every minute of it to the fullest. He will be missed.
