Friday, 05 November 2010 00:00Sylvia Everitt, 89, formerly of Great Neck, died peacefully on Oct. 28, 2010. She was predeceased by her devoted and adoring husband, Edgar Everitt, her son David Everitt and her first husband, Sam Kramer, who was killed during the last days of WWII. She is survived by her loving daughter, Judith Everitt, son-in-law John Abrams, daughter-in-law Laurie Everitt and grandsons, Ethan and Seth Abrams and Anthony and Gregory Everitt. Sylvia was one of the first women welders to work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard during WWII and later she served as a social worker assisting blinded veterans.
