The Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) and the Village of Great Neck Plaza will be hosting an evening of fine dining and entertainment under the stars on Thursday, July 29 on Middle Neck Road between Grace Avenue and Maple Drive. This is the first of two Promenade Nights scheduled in the village for Summer 2010. Promenade nights have been a summer favorite event for the past two years, featuring outdoor dining and music from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
The July 29 transformation of Middle Neck Road into a European-style promenade will invite patrons to enjoy wonderful dining choices on this unique evening. Some of the region’s best dining establishments will be participating, including Crave, El Tango, Caffe Classico, Chez Kama and Gino’s Restaurant. The event will feature live music by Savannah Sky and stores will remain open for much of the evening.
“Our promenades are developing into one of the summer’s most anticipated events, a wonderful evening out for great food, entertainment and spending time with family and friends,” said Great Neck Plaza BID Promotions Committee co-chairs Jay Corn and Jeff Moss (Moss is owner of Panchos Border Grill).
The fun will take place all within walking distance of the LIRR train station and convenient parking available on-street and in municipal parking fields and garages. .
The rain date is Thursday, Aug. 5. A second promenade night is being scheduled for Bond Street, Grace Avenue and North Station Plaza on Wednesday, Aug. 18.
