Great Neck Plaza’s Promenade Night Tonight, June 2

Tonight’s the night—Promenade Night in the Village of Great Neck Plaza. Sponsored by the village and the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID), this special event comes in the middle of the fourth annual Restaurant Week, which continues through this Sunday, June 5. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the eclectic and delicious menu styles of more than 20 delightful local restaurants.

Participating restaurants are offering prix fixe dinners for $23.95 throughout Restaurant Week, and tonight, the Plaza hosts Promenade Night on Middle Neck Road and Grace Avenue to Cedar Drive starting at 6:30 p.m. and running through 10:30 p.m.

Plaza Mayor Jean Celender invites everyone to join in the festivities and enjoy a taste of food from all over the world. “We have a variety of restaurants offering Asian, Mexican, Greek, Continental, Italian, Mediterranean and American style foods that will satisfy any palate,” Mayor Celender says.

Promenade Night, a very special event to celebrate Restaurant Week, will see Middle Neck Road transformed into a pedestrian promenade, between Grace Avenue and Cedar Drive. Diners will have the opportunity to sit under the stars in a European style promenade and enjoy the Plaza’s diverse menus and shopping experiences. Musical performances by Gathering Time and The Goodman Band will add to this fun evening.

All participating Restaurant Week restaurants are within walking distance of convenient parking available on the street and in municipal parking fields and garages.

Jean Marie Patisserie & Bistro, Ethos Restaurant, Mykonos, La Rontonda, Matsuya, Wild Ginger, Tulip, Turquoise, Elaine’s Asian Bistro, Grill Time (Shish Kabob Palace), The Carousel, The Giraffe Room, La Gioconda, Sip City, Colbeh, and Café Kriza.
