Great Neck Plaza Restaurant Week And Promenade Night Coming Up

Restaurant Week Starts Sunday, Promenade June 2

The Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) and the Village of Great Neck Plaza are preparing to celebrate the 4th annual Restaurant Week and invite all residents to enjoy the eclectic and delicious menu styles of more than 20 of its restaurants. From May 29 through June 5, participating restaurants will offer prix fixe dinners for $23.95. In addition, on, Thursday, June 2, the Plaza will host Promenade Night on Middle Neck Road and Grace Avenue to Cedar Drive starting at 6:30 p.m. and running though 10:30 p.m.

“We welcome and encourage our community and neighbors to take advantage of Restaurant Week to experience the excellent cuisine available in our restaurants at a very affordable price,” said Ron Edelson, executive director of the Great Neck Plaza BID.  Plaza Mayor Jean Celender added, “We have a variety of restaurants offering Asian, Mexican, Greek, Continental, Italian, Mediterranean and American style foods that will satisfy any palate.”

A special event to celebrate the week will be the transformation of Middle Neck Road, between Grace Avenue and Cedar Drive, into a pedestrian promenade on the evening of Thursday, June 2, from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m. Patrons will be invited to sit under the stars in a European style promenade and enjoy the Plaza’s diverse menus and shopping experiences. Musical performances by Gathering Time and The Goodman Band will add to the experience. 

“Our promenade nights are developing into one of the summer’s most anticipated events,” said Jay Corn, Great Neck Plaza BID vice president.  “This makes for a wonderful evening out under the stars with family and friends surrounded by delicious food, great shopping and live music.”

The friendly atmosphere of Great Neck Plaza is the perfect setting to enjoy the best in North Shore dining. All participating Restaurant Week restaurants are within walking distance of convenient parking available on street and in municipal parking fields and garages

Jean Marie Patisserie & Bistro, Ethos Restaurant, Mykonos, La Rontonda, Matsuya, Wild Ginger, Tulip, Turquoise, Elaine’s Asian Bistro, Grill Time (Shish Kabob Palace), The Carousel, The Giraffe Room, La Gioconda, Sip City, Colbeh, and Café Kriza.
