The Great Neck Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Awards Dinner on Wednesday evening, April 27, at Melville Hall, the Officers’ Club, at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point.
This year’s honorees include: Lee Seeman, Lifetime Achievement Award; Mitchell Beckerman, Business Person of the Year Award; and Robert E. Freedman Retail Awards to Pippa and Vadim Borisy from the Great Neck Music Conservatory, and Paul Litner from Dan’s Beauty Supplies.
The evening opens with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. and the awards ceremony. Special entertainment this year will be provided by magician Harry Mandel.
And this year, instead of a traditional dinner journal, there will be a journal/book that contains spaces for business cards. This gift will be presented to everyone who attends the dinner. For $125, each business person gives the Chamber of Commerce 150 business cards to be placed in the journal/book. There will also be spaces in the book to purchase ads honoring those receiving awards at the dinner. “This is a great networking tool,” said Great Neck Chamber of Commerce President Valerie Link.
Ms. Link invites the entire community to join the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce in a wonderful evening and the opportunity to honor some very special people who are devoted to keeping Great Neck a thriving, bustling, fun place to live and to work.
The dinner is $85 per person and reservations must be made in advance (no tickets will be sold at the door). For tickets, log onto the Chamber of Commerce website at greatneckchamber.org or call Corinne Doria at 482-2900.
