REAP, retired, energetic, active, professionals meet every Tuesday at the Cumberland School, 30  Cumberland Avenue. At 9 a.m. Les Penner will lead a discussion”Will We Find Life On Mars?”  The business meeting will follow, then  Milt Rosen will present “My Opinion” on a timely subject of interest.  At about 10:45 a.m. Carol Gross will discuss “Multicultural Superstitions Old and New.” Following lunch break, at 12:30 p.m. current events will be leld by David Brown. St. Aloysius Church Celebrates 100 Years

On June 23, the Roman Catholic parish of St. Aloysius in Great Neck will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its beautiful church building. The celebrations will include a special 10:15 a.m. liturgy with Bishop Murphy and a gala dinner-dance at Leonard’s of Great Neck that evening from 6 to 11 p.m. The church invites members of the parish, past and present neighbors and well-wishers to celebrate together this great moment. The annual meeting of the Great Neck Historical Society is at Great Neck House at 7:30 p.m.  Come find out what we’ve accomplished in the past year, and what are hopes are for the next year.  Everyone is welcome.
