From June 8 through June 10, the Costellos welcome families to stop by “The Family Place” to celebrate the opening of their newest location. Along with the prices and selection that Costello’s ACE is known for, each day will offer something extra exciting, extra enticing, extra…grand. Shoppers will be treated to complimentary coffee and cookies on both Saturday and Sunday mornings as well as afternoon popcorn, while supplies last. Temple Judea of Manhasset, 333 Searingtown Rd., will present its third annual Cantorial Concert at 6:30 p.m. The concert will be entitled L’dor V’dor - “From Generation to Generation” and will be honoring its past presidents. The concert will feature Temple Judea’s Cantor Abbe Sher, Cantor Ofer Barnoy of Temple Beth Shalom of Roslyn and Cantor Raphael Frieder of Temple Israel of Great Neck. The cantors will be accompanied by the Kenahora Music Ensemble and will present a musical evening of Israeli, cantorial, Sephardic and musical theater selections. Tickets are $36. Nassau North Chapter open installation meeting at 10 a.m. at the Great Neck Library, Bay View Avenue, Main Branch. The chapter will be addressed by the regional president who will fill attendees in on the accomplishments and goals of Brandeis University in the sciences, arts, business and literary fields and what the future holds in store for the university. Renowned Great Neck artist Gladys Goldberg will have her artwork displayed in the Village of Great Neck Plaza courtroom gallery as part of the Plaza’s monthly art exhibit. Members of the public are invited to come and meet the artist and view her work. The show is free and open to the public. Gladys’ work will be on display through May 30 during village office hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
