The Board of Commissioners of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire and Water Districts will meet Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the weekly business of the district. All meetings will be conducted in the Boardroom at the District Office, 170 East Shore Rd., Great Neck, unless otherwise publicly notified. Golfers will tee off for a lifesaving cause when they participate in the third annual “Chrissy’s Wish” Memorial Golf Outing, to be held at Rock Hill Golf & Country Club in Manorville. Proceeds will benefit NARSAD of Great Neck, a charitable organization funding research into the causes, new treatment options and potential cures for serious mental illnesses including schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and childhood mental disorders such as autism and ADHD. Sponsored by the Chrissy’s Wish Memorial Fund – an organization founded in memory of Christina Rossi, who suffered from bipolar disorder before her tragic death by suicide at age 26, the golf outing aims to increase awareness of mental illness while raising necessary funds to further research. The outing begins with an opening ceremony BBQ lunch at 11:30 a.m., with a tee time shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Registration fees are $150 per person and include full participation in the event, including practice driving range, 18 holes of golf (with golf cart), meals including lunch and an awards dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the awards dinner may also be purchased separately for $50. CLASP Children’s Center will host its first ever “Tee-Off for Tots Golf Classic.” The event will be held at North Shore Towers Country Club in Floral Park. The golf package includes brunch, on course refreshments, cocktail hour, and a recognition dinner. A dinner-only option is available to those who do not play golf.
